Order Updates

Let me start by thanking you for your support in helping grow our brand. I’m writing to offer an apology, explanation and update on your order.

We, like a lot of other companies, are experiencing supply chain issues. This has been made worse by the fact that our production partners source our Baltic Birch plywood from Ukraine and the majority of shipments out of that country have ceased due to the horrific current events that are currently unfolding there. This has created a major shortage and price increase almost overnight.

I apologize for the delay in getting your order shipping out to you, but we’re working in very uncertain times. We have been able to find a small alternative source that will provide us with a temporary fix, and are working on finding a long-term solution.

What does this mean? Our production partner has the sourced-plywood on hand now and is working to move through the backlog of orders. We’ve forecasted that most, if not all orders will be going out 2-4 weeks later than they should have. (6-8 weeks from the date the order was placed.)

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best,
David Mawhinney, Founder of Franklin+Emily
